AMO Technician Electro-Mechanical Drilling Services 2nd shift in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

  • Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment
  • Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation
  • Ability to identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques
  • Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence

Minimum Requirements

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices
  • Proficient in the use of multi-meters, mego-hm meters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments
  • Proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes
  • Advanced computer skills

 Preferred Qualifications/Requirements

Job Description

This position is accountable for supporting field operations at marine project locations for Gulf Coast – Houston.  Incumbents are responsible for welding, cutting, grinding, chipping and clean-up in the projects with which they are involved.  Typically, they will work closely with a Project Superintendent, Barge Foreman, Crane Operator, Boat Captain, Laborers, Helpers and other skilled or semi-skilled crafts persons.    

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Works as assigned by the Barge Foreman to ensure the successful completion of on-going or new marine construction projects.
  • Displays and uses capabilities to cut, weld, chip, grind or fit metal as may be required by the project.
  • Utilizes oxygen-acetylene cutting torch and related equipment when required to cut away metal from existing structure, beams or platforms.
  • Welds together pieces of sheet metal once individual sheet piles are pile driven into place. 
  • Applies ability to stick rod weld in all positions to complete a job.
  • Rigs cable for lifting and moving objects from one location to another. 
  • Handles placement of steel plates and sheet piles with the aid of equipment such as cranes, winches, cable and hand tools that may be available.
  • Operates saws, presses, drills and grinders to fabricate parts needed to repair a piece of equipment.
  • Inspects and makes minor repairs to welding equipment; notifies Foreman of parts needed to complete repairs.
  • Picks up needed materials and supplies to complete project.   
  • Works closely with Foreman, Crane Operators, Helpers, and other skilled crafts persons to complete current projects in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision.

This position is accountable for supporting field operations at marine project locations for Gulf Coast – Houston.  Incumbents are responsible for supporting crane operations in the construction or repair of marine terminals and dock facilities.  Typically, they will work closely with the Project Superintendent, Barge Foreman, Pile Driver Operator, Welders, Boat Captain, Laborers, Helpers and other skilled or semi-skilled crafts persons.

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Works as assigned by the Barge Foreman and/or Pile Driver Operator to ensure the successful completion of on-going or new marine construction projects.
  • Assists in unloading and assembling of crane or other hoisting equipment to be used in piledriving activities.
  • Unloads and assembles piledriving hammer and leads.
  • Unloads various types of piling – concrete, pipe, H-piling, timber and steel sheet piling.
  • Fuels, lubricates, and maintains the piledriving hammer.
  • Lays out from blueprints and/or site plans the exact location where the pilings will be driven.
  • Performs site preparation for installation of various concrete and wood structures.

  • Works with Pile Driver Operator to maneuver and position loads over designated areas in a smooth, safe manner.

  • Uses oxygen/acetylene welding torch to cut steel plates, pipes, beams, etc.
  • Uses pneumatic power tools – drills, countersinks, and tuggers – as required.
  • Uses gasoline chain saw to cut timbers and timber piling.
  • Dresses and caps the pilings after having been driven and prepares them to receive the superstructure.
  • Builds the form work for concrete structure, and constructs the timber falsework for all kinds of structures.
  • Performs other related piledriving duties as may be required by specific project.

Job Description

The New Build Operator I will be responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials and inventory of parts required for the new build process. The New Build Operator I will ensure that new rig yard hands are trained on the processes and procedures as well as the parts required for the new build process. The incumbent in this role will be required to work effectively, handling multiple tasks during the rig-up and rig-down process to include, but not limited to installing and assembling rig components and painting and finishing equipment.

  • Train new rig yard crew members on processes and procedures and general use of equipment and tools
  • Participates in Pre and Post tour meetings
  • Examine fabricated units ensuring accuracy of items delivered
  • Sort and stack incoming and outgoing materials and inventory required for the new build process
  • Operate various air powered and hand tools including ratchets, wrenches, pushing sticks, tag lines, driving pins, sledge hammers, etc.
  • Learn, keep current with and apply guidelines, methods, and standards established to build and maintain a quality driven and Incident-free Culture

Minimum Requirements

Requirements 

  • General knowledge of rig up yard operational processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and follow instructions related to the rig up and rig down process
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills, including ability to read, write, and speak English and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
  • Ability to take direction and give feedback to team members regarding shared work duties.
  • Ability to work efficiently, handling multiple tasks and following through on each assigned task.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including various situations that involve climbing at heights
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force frequently to move objects
  • Ability to work in various types of weather conditions (hot/cold)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other crew members, third parties, and management in a safe, organized, and productive manner
  • Willingness to maintain the following certifications:  Forklift and Man Lift
  • Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job related calculations.

As a P&A Rigger with this company, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and fast paced environment.  In this position the P&A Rigger will be responsible for safe rigging up and rigging down operations and daily operations at the work site.  This position is located offshore and will work 14 day on and 7 day off rotation.

  •  Maintain good communication with P&A Pump Operators and Supervisors
  • Unloading boats, hooking onto loads, and unhooking from loads with crane and rigging up equipment
  • Responsible for rigging up valves and lines from pump to well
  • Keeping up with water volume in tanks and how much has been pumped into the wells
  • Mixing cement and cleaning cement blender after pumping cement
  • Maintain all tools, making sure they are clean and in good working condition
  • Assist Pump Operators in checking all fuel and oil levels in equipment
  • Assist E-Line and Slick Line during rigging operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and job site by following Fieldwood Energy HSE and Standard Operating Procedures manuals

Minimum Requirements
