Donovan is the Vice President of Business Systems and Best Practices for Forum Energy Technologies, leading the company’s technology department, its High Potential Leadership program, and its largest, globe-spanning operational excellence initiative.
Prior to joining the Forum, Donovan served as Chief Operating Officer in a private custom-manufacturing business and was an executive at PepsiCo in their elite Leadership Development Program.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Donovan served for five years as a Ground Intelligence Captain in the United States Marine Corps. In that capacity, Donovan completed three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, doing a variety of roles involving infantry leadership and intelligences/Special Forces operations. Donovan was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for his time in Iraq and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his time in Afghanistan.
Donovan received his MBA from Harvard University, where he was named a Baker Scholar for graduating in the top five percent of his class. Donovan earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Princeton University.
Donovan is also the New-York-Times-bestselling author of Joker One, a memoir of his infantry platoon’s experience fighting in Ramadi in 2003, and The Leader’s Code, an exposition of the military’s servant-leader model.
