Job Description

They are looking for an Area Operations Manager/Assistant Project Manager to support their Project Manager in Houston, Texas. The Area Operations Manager will manage 3 -6 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10-20+ employees.

Responsibilities:

This person is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of these units. Along with this, this person will plan, direct, and coordinate activities required of the project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed parameters.

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed parameters by performing the duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

Leadership

  • Personnel Management (50-100+ employees)
  • E-7 to E-9 Level of Leadership, (NCO for at least 6-9 years)
  • Strategic Organizational Leadership and Planning Experience
  • Professional, Ethical, and Articulate

 

Experience

  • Strong Background in Operations, Logistics and Training
  • Highway, Construction experience preferred
  • Fleet Management
  • Understanding of Contracts, Budget, and P&L essential
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to top management, customers, and employees
  • Combat Arms, or Logistics Preferred
  • Moderate to Advanced User in Microsoft Suite of Products

 

Education

  • College degree preferred, will accept experience in lieu of education.

 

Other

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
