Jeff Lookabaugh

Jeff is a Subsea Engineer with Atwood Oceanics currently drilling offshore in Western Australia for Chevron.

Previous Experience

A native Texan raised in Austin and Enlisted into the Navy in 2003. Jeff’s military service was onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as an Aviation Boatswains Mate (Launch and Recovery Equipment) . After departing from the Nay in 2007 Jeff began his college career at The University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelors of Science in just three years graduatting in 2010. After graduation Jeff began his oilfield career for National Oilwell Varco working on the assembly line building Blow Out Preventers for 6th Gen Drill ships.

Currently Jeff is a Subsea Engineer for Atwood Oceanics and is overall responsible for all Blow Out Preventer Equipment, Motion Compensation equipment, well control equiptment and the maintenance and upkeep with such equipment. He lives by one motto, “if anyone can do it, so can I, and hopefully find a way to do it better.”
