Jimmy Battista

Jimmy serves as Vice President of Finance at Buckhorn Resources where he leads the finding and economic evaluation of acquisitions, in addition to assisting with investor relations and managing outsourced “back office” support.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Buckhorn, Jimmy worked in the Acquisitions & Divestments group at Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas (previously Plains Exploration) where he managed and assisted in the completion of multiple upstream oil & gas transactions, including a $3.1 billion Eagle Ford divestiture and over $1.5 billion in deep water Gulf of Mexico acquisitions.

Jimmy spent ten years in the U.S Navy as a SEAL officer, deploying five times to various locations around the globe. He has a Masters in Business Administration from Rice University – where he helped found the Rice Veterans in Business Association (VIBA), and a BS in Political Science from The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
