Job Description

Program​ ​Department:​ ​Employment (EMP)
Reports​ ​To:​ ​Talent Acquisition Manager

Job​ ​Summary​ ​&​ ​Essential​ ​Functions
NextOp’s Talent Acquisition Coordinator will administer the EMP program’s interaction
with veteran candidates by preparing them for a successful transition into a new career
in the civilian workforce.

Essential​ ​Duties​ ​&​ ​Responsibilities:
Corporate​ ​Partner​ ​Relationship​ ​Coordination
● Persuasively sell organization to Corporate Partners and those that have an
influence in veteran hiring
● Assist in the development of long-term relationships with Corporate Partners
interested in hiring veterans and work closely with them to place veterans within
their organization
● Facilitate NextOp information sessions and regular briefings for Corporate
Partners
Assessment​ ​and​ ​Career​ ​Placement
● Proactively source career leads and screen candidates to ensure the most
qualified candidate is matched with proper position
● Create a positive candidate experience through problem resolution, immediate
response to candidate’s needs, and delivery of exceptional service to the
candidate
● Assist in candidate development by providing guidance on industry training/
certification, resume building, interview skills, and networking

● Works effectively with veterans to better manage expectations, develop career
goals, and understand their goals
● Collaborates with other NGO’s to increase awareness of all programs/training
and make proper program referrals
● Tracks and reports all candidate interactions and outcomes in real time using
Salesforce
● Develop communications program to market career opportunities to candidates,
important program information to Corporate Partners, mentors, and other
stakeholders that integrates with Salesforce system

Minimum Requirements

required assignments in a timely fashion
● Excellent organizational skills
● Demonstrated commitment to the organization and able to timely complete
required assignments

● Exceptional interpersonal skills; team player, ability to communicate with diverse
personalities, tactful, mature and flexible
● Should have excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with
service-specific wounded warrior programs and transitioning/separating veterans
● Experience working independently and comfortable being managed remotely

Education​ ​&​ ​Experience​ ​Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree required; four (4) years relevant military work experience may
be considered in lieu of a degree
● Professional writing courses and experience a must
● 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or human
resources
● Experience in relationship-building with military organizations, veterans
associations, and other targeted constituents preferred
● Experience in organizing and coordinating events preferred
● Experience using social networking as related to veteran engagement preferred

● Experience working with military rank structure, protocols and culture preferred
Certifications​ ​&​ ​Licensure:
● Valid United States driver’s license required
