Looking for a hands-on career path with strong earning potential and long-term growth? Join NextOp for a virtual information session featuring the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) to learn about Pennsylvania’s Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program.
Since 1976, the NTMA Pittsburgh Chapter has delivered a proven, world-class apprenticeship program designed to prepare individuals for careers in tooling and machining. The four-year program combines 144 hours of classroom instruction each year with 2,000 hours of paid, on-the-job training, leading to Journeyperson certification and opportunities to earn NIMS credentials in specialized skill areas. Apprentices typically see pay-for-skills wage increases throughout the program, with first-year earnings ranging from $32,000–$63,000, and program graduates earning $52,000–$79,000 annually.
During this session, attendees will learn how the apprenticeship works, who is eligible, how employer sponsorship and financing options are structured (including support for laid-off workers), and how this program offers an affordable, high-impact pathway into manufacturing careers. Classes are offered at convenient locations throughout Allegheny, Cambria, Somerset, and Westmoreland Counties.
This event is ideal for veterans, transitioning service members, and job seekers interested in building a skilled trade career in manufacturing. A live Q&A will follow the presentation.
