Geographic Expansion

To serve more veterans and support growing industries, we’ve strategically expanded our footprint into the following regions:

  • Alabama: With the support of the U.S. Department of Labor’s POWER grant and an Innovate Alabama grant, we’re expanding our program and building on our early successes in partnership with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. This program expansion will address veterans’ unique needs by aligning them to workforce opportunities in the high-growth industries of Huntsville and the Appalachian Region of Northern Alabama, while also building out a statewide veteran workforce development network. 
  • North Texas: Centered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, this program expansion is a strategic priority due to the region’s high density of veterans, diversity of employers and partners demanding skilled talent, and desire to expand our Texas impact to ensure  veterans have access to these rewarding opportunities in key industries. 
  • Tennessee & Kentucky: Supported by the U.S. Department of Labor’ WORC grant and a Delta Regional Authority DWP grant, we’re extending our program into both Tennessee and Kentucky. This expansion is designed to address veterans’ unique needs in areas of the Mississippi Delta region by aligning them to workforce opportunities in high-demand, high-wage industries.

The contents are solely the authors’ responsibility and do not necessarily represent the official views of the Department of Labor. This project is federally funded with $1,499,891 dollars.
