NextOp is proud to celebrate a milestone achievement in collaboration with Ochsner Health, successfully hiring more than 300 veterans into the healthcare sector. In 2022, NextOp and Ochsner partnered to bridge the gap between military service and civilian healthcare careers, with the support of the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities Initiative Grant.
This initiative has allowed Ochsner to exceed its initial goal, hiring 307 veterans from June 2023 to June 2024. Through the establishment of four key career pathways—Partnership Development, Talent Pathway Development, Workforce Development, and Career Development—NextOp and Ochsner have created sustainable, long-term solutions for veterans in the healthcare field. The result is a diverse range of veteran hires across critical roles, from nursing to plant operations, showcasing how veterans are a valuable asset to the healthcare sector.
