Organizations aim to place 100 veterans in the U.S. Navy Submarine Industrial Base within the next year

Louisiana has entered into a partnership with NextOp, the national nonprofit that is dedicated to helping service members deal with civilian employment challenges.

NextOp helps veterans translate their military training experiences into valuable qualifications for employment in the business community. Cadence Bank proudly supports NextOp in its efforts to place veterans in fulfilling careers after their service is over.

According to data from the Pew Research Center, one in four veterans had a civilian job lined up for after they left the service; these were more than twice as likely to have been commissioned officers than noncommissioned officers or enlisted service members.

The American workforce is shifting. Workers are moving into new industries and from lower-paying jobs into higher-paying management
positions vacated by retirees.

Mayor G.T. Bynum, Community Service Council (CSC,) and CSC’s Oklahoma Veteran Alliance recognized 24 companies today for becoming Veteran Employer Champions.
